How long have you been playing rugby?

Since I was 10 years old.

How/Why did you start playing rugby?

The boys next door use to play outside my house.

What do you like most about rugby?

You can physically hurt people without being charged for assault.

How do you prepare for the big games?

Listen to some music and crack a few jokes with the girls.

How do you juggle your career and playing professional rugby?

I do shift work, so I work trainings around work if I can. If I can’t make trainings then I’ll go gym.

What are the biggest obstacles facing women in today’s game?

Not getting the same publicity, funding or resources to help women’s rugby grow in New Zealand. Not getting the same recognition as male counterparts.

Where would you like to see Women’s rugby in 10 years time?

Would love to see women’s rugby turn professional.

What is your best sporting memory?

Winning Division 2.
Oriental-Rongotai vs Marist St Pats. Final score was 5 all.
Got a yellow card for fighting.

What is your worst sporting memory?

Doing my MCL and ankle at the same time.

What is your ultimate ambition in sport?

Would love to be in the Black Ferns team at the next world cup.
