Chabal to play Super Rugby in Australia

Former France international Sebastien Chabal has announced that he will play Super Rugby for an Australian team in the very near future.

Chabal was recently sacked by by Top 14 Rugby club and has since been linked with several rugby clubs around the world, including Harlequins and London Wasps.

However Chabal told French TV channel RMC “I’m going to play in Australia soon”.

Chabal did not reveal which Super Rugby franchise he will be playing for although he is already being linked with the Melbourne Rebels and the Brumbies.

If the reports are true, then I look forward to watching him play on Australian soil.

Sebastien Chabal will make a one game cameo in Sydney’s second-division competition for Balmain against Petersham this weekend. The match will serve as the curtain raiser for the Reds v Waratahs game opening game of the Super Rugby season.

I wonder if he will hold any ‘talks’ while he is here on Australian soil?
