Rumours are once again flying that Quade Cooper will jump codes from union to league after it was revealed today that the flyhalf has spoken with the Brisbane consortium supporting the proposed new Brisbane NRL team.
This coupled with the rumour several days ago that he may switch to Khoder Nasser, agent of Anthony Mundine, puts a cloud over whether Cooper will stay with union following the World Cup.
Having only just recently re-signed with the St George Reds and Australian Rugby on a one year deal this is disturbing news for all Australian rugby fans.
Of course, code switching is not something new to the game with the likes of Sailor and Tuqiri switching codes several times, but the question now is whether the superstar will be distracted in the most important year of rugby.
Cooper told the Courier Mail that its part of being a professional player and that he won’t let it affect his performance so only time will tell.
What do you think?
