How long have you been a rugby fan?
My whole life!! I come from a rugby family.
What/who got you into rugby?
My dad – he still plays Golden Oldies. Both my brothers have also been playing since they were young and I spend most of my weekends watching them play.
What’s your favourite part about rugby?
I love the atmosphere of a rugby crowd – it’s just different to other sports!! Also the traditional fiery, physical nature of the game adds of the excitement in an increasingly bubble-wrapped world.
What’s your fondest memories involving rugby?
Watching my brothers score their first tries and meeting the Wallabies after they played the British and Irish Lions in 2001.
What do you feel is the biggest issue in the game right now?
Inconsistency with referees calling scrums once ‘pause’ was added.
What is the biggest problem you encounter being a female rugby fan?
None – my boyfriend and male friends like that I enjoy the game and am not just watching for the perve factor.
Any final words?
Can’t wait for the Rugby World Cup – Go the Wallabes!!!
