Digby Ioane to stay in Oz

Digby Ioane has made all Wallabies and Reds fans happy today after announcing on Twitter that he is staying in Australia for the next 3 years.

Leaving the announcement to the last minute, Ioane has reportedly turned down a very lucrative offer from the cashed-up Japanese club Kubota to stay with the Reds Super Rugby franchise.

“4 got 2 tell u my friends! Gonna stay in australia for the next 3 years!!!” Ioane tweeted.

Coach Ewen McKenzie was never in any doubt that Ioane would stay with the Reds and it was just moments ago that Ioane tweeted he was the reason for staying.

‘I’m here because ov u RT @Ewen_McKenzie: Good news @digbyioane – never in doubt ;). See you when you get back!’
